Fact: Henchmen have nothing to do with Mhenlo and Togo.

I have beat it twice now, on my first attempt with each character.

First I played through with my assassin... had one other player and all henchmen. Went fine.
Second time I played through with my Tyrian character... both teams had all players. Went fine.

Hmm did it the first time with henchies...I didn't find it at all challenging. In fact I've henched most of the missions so far. I'm at Temple now with my furthest Canthan toon and I'll probably hench it too. With the new overlapping patrols patience and aggro management are the keys to success. It's a lot harder to isolate and pull one group at a time but it can be done. The key is to fight everything though. You get there in plenty of time if you have decent damage output, even with henchies and it keeps you from getting Mehnlo stuck.

Keep in mind the two versions:
V Square Foreign Quarter - Tyrians coming in - run with Mhenlo towards Togo
V Square Local Quarter - Cathan students holding out with Togo till above

And from what I can see there is no ability to crossover (tried to help a Cathan created guildie with my Tyrian warrior, also have failed to get any Tyrian character to V Square local, yay cheesy gates and separation :b :b :b)

I've done this mission 3 times and steamrolled it to get the master's reward every time, I don't get what's so hard. Heck, the first time I did it without a Canthan team. As for the bug, well, I've never encountered it. Are you doing anything unusual like running ot the square or not activating the cutscene?

I'm still stuck at the 'Foreign' Vizunah square mission.

For the last ten or so attempts, as soon as the first gate opens Mhenlo just drops dead! No enemies or anything are nearby, he just takes one step inside the gate and voila, instadeath and mission failed.

Don’t you just love people who, instead of offering constructive advice, brag about how easy a mission was for them? “I did this mission blindfolded, solo, sitting on my hands, pecking the keyboard with my nose and found 6 Greens and capped 10 Elites. I don’t see the problem.” Hello? The OP needed help, not people bragging about how easy it was for them.

I've done both missions, Foreign and Local and like I said with Mehnlo I have never had a problem keeping him alive. You just have to kill everything. No running through. You actually have to play. You can easily get masters reward slaughtering everything in the mission. With Local the key there is to keep yourself near Togo at all times. I did it with my N/Rit and I didn't heal him. All I had to do was keep aggro off of him by targeting anyone that came close. The AI on minions and henchies now means some will focus on your new target but not all and so you get some holders and some killers. then the monks take over and heal Togo. Again...kill everything! If you try to run through this mission you will lose.

I was lucky to join in a party that complete this mission on the first try. We have two monk, 4 warriors, one ritualist, one necro. We got it done within 39 minutes (i know its not the top ranking time). Also can anyone confirm this with me, this mission seem to give lots of decent to rare drop since you have to fight groups of afflicted at different locations.

Good god I hate this mission. It's not because its particularly hard (first time I attempted it I was on Tyrian side, it must have glitched coz no Canthan team was in game with me at all and I got to second major wave of enemies easily). I just hate the fact I'm forced to be with another team. There's a reason I don't PUG, but at least in a PUG I can see what people are like beforehand. If I want to be forced into game with people I have no clue about, I'll play random arenas.

The first time I did it, there was no Canthan team. It was also on the day of the head start - so maybe the implimented it after that.

This isn't true... I have found that so long as nothing over agros around Togo, he can pretty much take care of himself. If you have another human down there - they are required to do one thing and one thing only: Defend the immediate surroundings of Togo - only what is in mellee on him. Assassin with a staff FTW!

the first time I went through it was all henchies with Togo, fought all the way down no rushing, no problem!
I did this again on another character and we kept running into new peeps that didn't know what they were doing and kept getting to much agro >_<

Finally we got an assassin with a staff and fought slowly down like you are supposed to (running it causes the glitch) and managed to save the day even tho someone didn't skip the cutscene.

It CAN be done, it's just hard and completely depends on the team down at the lower area.

Do the cutscenes count towards mission completion times? I passed with ~28 on my first try, with a full team of henchies (Canthan side) and an excellent full player team on the other side - but it was still quite slow. I was wondering if anyone has completed both level of the bonus, and how.

I wish I took a screenshot, you clearly saw all the other team run towards our group which would be the bottom left of the square, where the second group of assassins drop down. Togo is the other side, which where he kinda just dies.

It might not be such a problem if both teams are 1 RL+7 hench since you only have 1 RL pulling their henches away, but we had 8 RL players our side and many many times, we pulled the other team's henches towards us and basically Togo dies. Its an easy mission after that minor glitch is passed.

I did this mission with 2 full partys easy, just use a MM or AoE spells. Give Anet a break, its only been released like a week and a bit ago. Do you know how buggey the missions were in profecies when the game first came out?
